Should have known...

That if I blogged about the judge taking so long....we'd get a decision. Well, my attorney called today wanting me to get an affidavit signed by my MD saying that despite what my job description says, I still can't work. That even though it's sedentary, it's still not something I can do. She says at least we will have this for when we appeal, which means we've lost.

I did get the cast off today and for now that is what I am going to focus on...the one good thing....because I am so upset about losing my SSD case (almost $2,000) a month that would have been coming in, that we are totally back to where we started.

That does suck. I hope it will turn around to your favor in the end.

Please appeal that decision. I hope you eventually succeed!

Good luck!

Man Wendy I am so sorry, I know you have been trying to get this for awhile. I hope the appeal goes quickly!

Losing your mobility and your income SUCKS. It is just as catastrophic as what is happening to your grandpa, so don't guilt trip yourself for being down. That really is horrible. I wish I had something to offer besides sympathy.

That really does bite. And yes, please do appeal. I do worker's comp cases and sometimes we would like to accept the cases but the evidence just doesn't say what we need it to say. If you can get the report from your doctor explaining you're disabled from your job, great. I'd try and get the doctor to explain specifically why you can't perform the duties of the job even though it's sedentary, if she/he can give good rationale, so much the better.
